Let's go for a paddle, Dad.

That's what Jerry said to Robbin on their first Father's Day.
Well, honestly, it was more like me ordering his life jacket awhile ago when REI was having a sale and packing lunch for everyone that morning.  But the sentiment is the same. BTW,  I'm really looking forward to the day when Jerry can help load the canoe onto the car.  Jerry was really patient getting his life preserver on and fell asleep about 20 minutes into the hour journey.

After an hour paddle, during which Jerry slept over half the time, we headed over to a local Flea Market.  Unexpectedly, Jerry loved the Flea Market.  We're not sure if it was all the people and movement or if it was because it was his first ride in the Bjorn facing outward...but he loved it.  I'm pretty sure we're not Flea Market people.  We went because I had heard a specific vendor had quality children's clothes and was having a special sale to clear out her inventory.

Then Robbin and Jerry headed to the grocery store to pick up some meat for the grill.  After an extended afternoon nap, Jerry enjoyed some chicken on the deck with us. (or watched us enjoy it).  Then it was bath time and bedtime.  Somehow on Father's Day Robbin also managed to build 2 giant sized saw horses.   I'm not sure when he fit that in.  All in all a good day.
