We had the 3rd doctor appointment this week, where we listened to the heartbeat via doppler which was very surreal. Along with kidney function separate from me, Gus has his very own heartbeat very much apart from mine. It's as if there is a whole other person inside of me.

Lemon
A shrimp to a lemon in one week. That seems like a big jump, doesn't it? I'm really going to have to take a roll by the lemons during my next grocery store visit. Also is this just length, or are we talking volume? This week Gus can also suck his thumb and urinate. So there is a little person peeing inside of me. This pregnancy stuff is kind of creepy at times.

Length only. that's why those size comparisons always annoyed me. they made me feel like the baby was so huge, but then they're like, "your baby is the size of a watermelon!" and I'm like, "....no." plus, Gus would be weird and fat if that was the case.
