Oops

I really meant to keep posting each week.  I really did.

We've had a nice month so far.  We took Gerald to Atlanta to meet Steve and Amanda.  We took a hike in Mistletoe State park.  We enjoyed great food at Arts in Heart of Augusta.  And we're getting ready for a trip to Chicago this weekend for my cousin's wedding.

I've started to become a little more involved with church, attending a mothers' support group and a bible study directed at moms.  Both of these have childcare provided for by our church which is really, really great.  In one group we're reading, "Life Together" by Dietrich Bonhoeffer.  And in another we're reading "Love Wins" by Robert Bell.

Overnight, Gerald started sitting up and almost crawling.  It's like an army crawl, but only if the army crawl were at the dramatic end of a war film.  He moans, he seems wounded.  But he is determined to reach that cup on the floor.  Occasionally, he will get up on all fours and rock back and forth.  Then he stops and contemplates why that didn't produce any movement.  And start it all over again.

Today we had the first ride in the real seat in the grocery cart.  Just like a little boy.

Tomorrow he will be driving.
